Always keep in mind to stick to the journals guidelines, but here you get an easy overview on how to get going. All this is based on my experience as a Scientist, a technical Editor at a Scientific Journal and being a Scientific Illustrator.

Sneak-Peak: I would not advise to start with the Introduction ;)

You will get Tips & Tricks on each part of a scientific article & what to pay attention to & you will have space to take notes & scribbles on the pages.

I would advise you to print it out, take a pen & get going :)! Doing this with a pen on paper will give you a closer connection & appreciation for your science. Your brain & ideas will flow differently & you might get new & creative perspectives on your work.
